Title: A cooperative network to research pesticides from a health and environment perspective
The Australian Pesticide Research Network is Australia's peak body for agricultural chemical research, education, regulation and advocacy from an environmental and health perspective.
We lead a network of organisations who are passionate about the sustainable use of agrochemicals.
Through not-for-profit research, we foster new ways to reduce chemical use and to better understand the impact of chemicals on natural ecosystems and our health.
We provide information and education about the impacts of agrochemical use;
We encourage advocacy and network building around sustainable agrochemical use;
We assist allied and eligible organisation to research methods that minimise agrochemical pollution.
Interest in our research has grown steadily over the years as chemical use in Australia has been increasing, and indeed, this is the case around the world.
Founded as The Weed's Network in 2009, we expanded our research interest to become the Australian Pesticide Research Network in 2023. Our aim is encourage research into all aspects of agrochemical use, especially when the chemicals are released into our environment, for example, agrochemicals used by agribusinesses, farmers, municipal councils, forest managers, horticulturalists and ecologists.
We network with anyone interested in learning more about the health and environmental impacts of agrochemicals.
Please use this network of research interest to keep in touch with the latest agrochemical news and research.
Everything we cover on this site is compiled and indexed via our Pesticide Research News. The news indexed is open-access and indexed to form a comprehensive on-line resource. It complements and feeds into the more practical information we cover in our Working With Agrohemicals Guide.
We also cover pesticide related Products and Services- please contact us if you would like to be included - this is a free service supported by our donors.
You can support the network by making a tax deductibledonation to our research fund. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available.*
* All monies we receive into our research fund will be granted to a tax concession charity (TCC) or deductible gift recipient (DGR1) organisation, or to an individual via a university scholarship dedicated to reducing pesticide pollution.
