Title: re: Australian famers miffed as APVMA performance nosedives

Lots of hyperbole here. Where is the evidence that the pesticides being pushed for are more toxic (super-toxins)? The bad old days of organophosphate and similar chemistries are one of the reasons that products with new, more targeted chemistries and modes of actions are being introduced.

On one hand you say that the externalities are not being recovered through levies, and on the other you complain that the APVMA is in the pocket of big Chem.

I read your posts on Linkedin with interest. Nobody is wanting more chemicals than necessary, but overly emotional and florid language about chemical use, rather than looking at peer reviewed studies and real evidence does your cause no favours. Especially on Linkedin, the decision makers you are targeting are scientifically literate, and are turned off by your constant recycling of attacks on the APVMA, the farming community and those who use pesticides in a measured and safe manner to control disease, serious weeds and control pests that threaten Australian Biodiversity
